HEAT FLOW TO JACKET WATER ON GOSHAWK.

The following tests were carried out on the dynamometer to determine the heat flow to the cooling water. The mass flow of the water was obtained by direct measurement and the top water temp. was approx. 90°C. for all the tests.

The results are tabulated below and curves are supplied showing the heat flow for full throttle and the heat flow expressed as a percentage of the initial fuel energy, the calorific value of the fuel being taken as 19000 B.T.U's per lb.

| Eng. R.P.M. | H.P. at road wheels. | Pts.hr. | B.T.U/min. to water. | Heat supplied. | Heat flow to water as % of ht. supplied. |
