[ C. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} ] 3 Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/JH. 16th. October, 1940. The British Power Boat Co.Ltd., Hythe, Southampton. For the attention of G.S.Selman Esq. Dear Sirs, re Power Mounting 40 m.m. Gun. We do not appear to have received a reply to our letter of the 1st. inst: reference Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/JH. concerning the angles of traverse and elevation over which firing cut-out should be provided on the power mounting we are developing, and we are wondering whether your reply may have gone astray. We are making an artistic picture of the gun on this mounting, together with its crew on one of your boats, and have not a very good mental picture of what the boat is like at the stern. If we are not asking for something we should not have, we would be very grateful if you would send us a little outside drawing of the boat showing us what the deck and super structure is like so that we can indicate it in our picture. Yours faithfully, H.I.F.Evernden, Chief of Design, Gun Installation Section FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
