List of modifications required to convert a B.V. No.1 unit from a Continental to a standard B.V. specification.

The unit in the above car was built as a Continental job and at the first opportunity is to be converted back to a standard B.V. The following is a list of the work required to be carried out. (1) Cylinder block with short inserts to be fitted. (2) New std. B.V. cylinder head to be fitted (EB.4071), existing has large inlet valves. The cylinder head should be fitted with strengthened exhaust valves EB.4845. Double valve springs PD.354, memo Ry/CS.1/EH.2.).39 to be included. (3) Std. B.V. induction system and carbs. to be fitted, existing is increased dimension Continental system with 1 1/2 S.U. carbs. (4) Complete ignition distributor and governor which should conform in all respects with what is specified for B.V. production. Existing is hand controlled Continental type. GT please Note.
