R.R. 493a (50 B) (D.D. 31. 12-6-25) J.H.L. EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. X3806 REF HsS/LG15.10.25. To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} CHASSIS LUBRICATION. X3806 X8980 We have been in communication with OY. in connection with Chassis Lubrication. Centralized oiling schemes are being developed extensively in the U.S.A. It will be seen from the attached report that Springfield are testing it out. On the present Phantom car which we are delivering there are roughly, 140 points which require lubrication. This is not counting control joints etc. Of this number, approximately a half are Enots Lubricators. We have had advice that a sample Bijur central oiling scheme is on the way.
