| X300a HOTEL DE FRANCE. CHATEAUROUX. Indre. France. GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/4/JAB. 26th August 1935. To. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From. G.W.H. 3. S. I. SPECTRECodename for Phantom III The Engine is not too good, but we are risking it and leaving here Tuesday 27th August. We have repaired the Oil Cooler. The main oil pressure was low with the wear of the bearings; so we have increased it by putting washers under the main spring. There is a clatter from,(we suspect Pistons) between 35-60 MPH. which does not sound at all nice. If at the end of tomorrow's run we do not think it wise to go further, we shall wire Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and return here. | ||
