| W/P -To Sr. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} c. to Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} 8261 ade Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}15/KW19.1233. We have decided that we must have the streamline car back in Derby before Christmas. This will mean it will have to cross over at the latest on Friday of this week. From what I saw of France there is not the remotest chance of you getting on Montlhery by Thursday. I suggest that from your point of view you might convince the French R.C.F. that we have brought the car over specially to try it on Montlhery, and been frustrated by weather conditions, and therefore before we take it back we should like some official figure. You might then get them to time you by a stop watch over the kilometre Arrapajon. This will be better for us too, as we should have something to show for the visit. Please do what you can. Please watch the cycle type wings very carefully, as these are not a Rolls-Royce job. I am writing Paterson confirming our decision to put the car on the Calais boat on Friday. Thank everyone at Paris on my behalf for looking after me so well on this last trip. Yours sincerely, | ||
