BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X150. DAL/M14.2.33. C. to SC. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} HDY.{William Hardy} PEREGRINE STEERING COLUMN. To avoid the difficulty with the Peregrine (and also J.3) steering columns that when the column is adjusted the pedal assembly is interfered with, we have made N. sch. 3691. herewith, shewing a sheet metal bracket spanning the gap on the dashboard through which the steering column passes, thus enabling adjustments on the column to be made without interfering with the suspension of the pedal beam. A similar arrangement could be made on J.3. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
