Oy8-E-22524 February 22, 1924. Mr. Claude Johnson, Rolls-Royce, Ltd., London, England. (Copy for attention of Mr.Royce " " " " Mr.E.Platford " " " " Mr.E.Hives) Dear Sir: Re: Proposal Sheet No.56 Con/rod bolt It has been found that due to shape of connecting rod big end and occasional shortage of metal on forging, the metal on either side of the snug on the bolt head E-17688 is insufficient for properly locking the head. This proposal guarantees sufficient metal for the lock and makes the bolt head similar to our shackle bolts. Oy. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Olley MO/E | ||
