SPEED GEARBOX.
X.2200.

After our experience in driving 14-EX. with the experimental Maybach dogs we think it will be necessary to modify to some extent the Maybach jaws on the epicyclic 3rd. speed box.

The angle as instructed is 7º and 6º respectively on the vacuum and hand controlled dogs. Clicking seems certain to occur.

We send herewith a print of N. sch. 3230. shewing the suggested modifications which we have sent to Derby, as the box is being built up rapidly.
