26EX

RE THE NEW CAR FOR MR. ROYCE.

We send herewith a copy of the Coachwork Specification of the above car which is really the Continental Car.

We hope that you will be able to let us have a subframe (which is the Universal Type) in the course of about 14 days.

If no engine changes which are apparent are added to the car prior to the body being fitted we see no reason why we should not let Barkers have the chassis and mount the body. We would like to do this if possible as it would ensure the paintwork being good. In this case it would be difficult to finish the body at Derby as we are going to use a special colour scheme to suit the Biarritz Tour. It will be repainted before it is finally handed over to you for Mr. Royce.

We should want the chassis by the third week in June.
The earlier we have it the better as then we could easily let you have the complete car when finished to change any of the units if it is so desired.
