June 25th.1937 Mr.Hutton B.47.HM.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} 4 1/4 LITRE CONN. ROD FAILURE, 10,340 MILES. There have been two 4 1/4 litre Bentleys in this week for conn. rod failure. Should not there be a Depot Sheet issued for the latest modifications to be carried out on these failures when erected.? This car has been in twice for rod failure. The first time was after 796 miles. The rods were sent up for Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s investigation and the complete engine was sent later.
