BJ13/H16.12.24.
With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG12.12.24, we have now tried this car and have found it satisfactory for standardising for "V" series.
Please let us have a list of items which are on this car, but which will be different on "V" series.
Please arrange for this car now to be dealt with exactly as our other standard cars are dealt with, namely, that no alteration should be made without a standardisation sheet.
We understand that you will soon have an absolute "V" series car available for test, and we shall be given an opportunity of trying this; and any alterations from then onwards will be the subject of a standardisation sheet.
Can you please let us know when you expect the actual "V" series car to be available for test?
I am leaving for the Continent on Boxing Day, and shall be passing through France on Tuesday, the 6th January. Therefore, if I am unable to test this final "V" car before Christmas, I shall try to make arrangements to test it in France on the 6th or 7th if it has arrived there.
