(3) Jaggers when the brakes are applied sharply at 20 m.p.h. or below.

Existing Cars.

Too much front braking or snatching front brakes cause the trouble, and both can frequently be reduced by increasing the swinging arm load. We have also experienced cases where modification to the bedding of the brakes overcame the trouble.

Future Cars.

We are not clear as to how many customers complaints have actually been received in connection with this particular trouble. We ourselves have experienced it in two different ways -

(a) At the conclusion of a high speed tramp the jagger occured. This means that if we cure high speed tramping as in paragraph (1), this trouble will also be eliminated.

(b) Driving continuously in slush and snow; in other words, with water on the brakes, this jagger was experienced. The improved water excluder should deal with this.
