RG{Mr Rowledge} Expl. No. 788 REF. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG12.10.25 OBJECT OF TEST. Performance of Phantom car on Brooklands. TESTER. W.A. Robotham. CONDITIONS. Brooklands track - standard 'V' series car. SUMMARY OF TEST. These tests were taken last July. The tests were intended as preliminary to other tests and also to check the electric Chronograph, but owing to more urgent work, these have not yet been carried out. It will be seen that owing to the increase in weight of the Phantom over early Silver Ghost, the acceleration at low speeds is approx. the same on both cars. We shall shortly have running an open Phantom car fitted with one of the original 'sports' bodies, and which will have the lightened parts fitted. The HP. curve of the particular car tests on Brook-lands is slightly below the average production. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
