X3745 Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} You will recollect you reported that the Jeavon Gaiter Charger had no means of registering in the Lubricator. Messrs. Ramsdens, of Halifax, the makers of this Gaiter write this morning as details hereunder. Will you kindly advise. ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} [STAMP: RECEIVED FEB 8 1923] Extract from Letter dated 5.2.23 From: RAMSDENS (HALIFAX) LIMITED) In regard to your letter of the 30th and your remark that there are no means of registering the Jeavons Gaiter Charger in the Lubricator, we would point out that evidently the small nozzle which converts the Charger into an Oil Gun or Petrol Squirt was not removed. You will remember that in the nipple is a small ball, whilst in the end of the Gaiter Charger when the nozzle has been removed can be seen a small needle valve which enables the Charger to register perfectly on the nipple. We are however, making arrangements to supply the Gaiters against above order with Enots Greasers. At the same time we will again submit our own nipple and the Charger, together with definite instructions as to the use of the latter. We are looking forward to having your early reply, and remain. Yours faithfully, | ||
