COPY. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} at W. 1158 Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}1/IH.11.2.39. (Dictated 10.2.39). INTERIOR HEATING AND VENTILATION, ETC. This morning we had a call from a Mr.Roper, who is connected with the Brooklands Motor Company, Ltd., of 103 New Bond Street, London, W.1., who handle the sale of Nash cars in this country. Mr. Roper brought with him a new Nash car, and drew attention to the air conditioning plant installed therein. His object was to sell us complete sets of the air conditioning parts at £12. 12. 0. less 25%. He left with us a complete set of parts, and knowing your present interest in this matter, we are sending them to you, as if you are not already familiar with this particular apparatus, you may like to examine and test it. You will observe there is an air filter and a form of thermostatic control. The fan motor is intended to operate from a 6 volt battery. The parts are designed to suit an air intake in the top of the scuttle and to be mounted immediately below the air intake. Provision is made to drain away water which enters via the air intake. The fan is designed to induce an inflow of air at low car speeds. You will notice that the outlets for warmed air may be closed by means of a shutter when it is desired to concentrate on demisting. When you have finished with the parts, will you be good enough to have them returned to us here labelled for the writer, so that they may be passed back to Mr. Roper. Hn.{F. C.
