To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} +8600 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG16.11.27. +8600 The combined spare wheel and carrier which has been standardised as shewn on drg. F.76564 has the fault that the carrier and body protecting grid rattle. The drg. clearance between the two in any case is only .075" so that we do not see any possibility of preventing this. Could we not devise a clip whereby the luggage carrier would be fastened to the body protecting grid when the luggage grid was not in use to eliminate this trouble - possibly a rubber pad between the two would ensure absolute silence.
