PHANTOM II EXTRA CYLINDER LUBRICATION. (CONTROLS).

The small bracket E.79939 (on the sloping portion of the dasaboard), which carries the bell crank lever connecting up the extra cylinder lubrication tap to the instrument board controls appears to be much too flexible. If the tap happens to be on the stiff side very considerable bending takes place on this bracket. This defect was noticed on 27-EX; it has not been apparent on previous cars fitted with extra cylinder lubrication owing to the taps being slightly easier to operate.

It appears necessary to stiffen up this bracket, the most satisfactory method being to use a double bracket supporting both ends of the pin which carries the bell crank lever.
