X2515 To EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Mr. Wyer, from EFC. EFC2/T19.6.21. X.2515 - COPPER WIRE FUSES. X3564 We have made a carefully comparison of the 30 S.W.G. (.0124" dia.) copper wire on our reel and the tinned copper wire which you submitted to us, which is .0120" dia. We find the fusing current to be practically identical at an average of 27, so that in this respect either wire is quite suitable. There may, or may not, be some slight advantage in the tinned. In our tests we had some difficulty in respect of the wire not being properly gripped by the holder, so that if this wire is used great care will have to be taken on this point. EFC. | ||
