I was in conversation with Mr. Vandervell yesterday, and he said that they got quite good results on contact points with a contact point material known as "Post Office metal".

I am afraid I did not get to know where this could be obtained, but I have little doubt that our present suppliers of tungsten points would be able to tell us, and possibly give us their views on the use of this substance. According to Mr. Vandervell, it would be well worth a trial, and when you have the necessary information, perhaps you could arrange with the D.O. to instruct two sets of battery ignition contact points for experiment in this material.

We should also be interested to know the composition of this material.
