Dear Sirs, During the course of our interview, a few weeks ago, you were kind enough to say that we might have the opportunity of submitting experimental designs of exhaust silencers and we understood that data relating to the "Wraith" engine and chassis would be sent to us at your convenience. We have just received data relating to very important modifications in the designs of silencers with particular reference to the low frequency range and knowing your requirements to be extremely exacting we should very much welcome the opportunity of embodying this new data in an experimental design for test on the "Wraith" chassis. Such an experimental sample would be prepared and supplied entirely without obligation but in the event of your acceptance of this suggestion we should very much appreciate permission being given for a member of our technical staff to attend for the purpose of noting results. In addition to the usual engine data we should prefer to have an indication of the maximum permissible dimensions, permissible weight, and outside diameter of exhaust pipe.
