MODIFICATIONS TO P.100 HEADLAMPS.

Replying to your Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}10/KW.19.6.35., although it would save a lot of time and expense to just change the inside of the lamp it is unfortunately impracticable in the majority of cases due to the very delicate adjustment, on these lamps, of the dipping portion of the reflector in relation to the fixed portion secured to the front of the lamp.

Messrs.Lucas are now taking particular care to match these lamps very closely in this respect to avoid the large number of cases we have experienced due to the dipping reflectors jamming.

The most satisfactory way is therefore to return the whole lamp to Mess.Lucas.

Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} and Pk. should make sure that they have sufficient supplies of modified lamps available to get the change over moving smoothly. We have asked Mess.Lucas to give us all their co-operation in this respect but we shall have to "keep on their tails" as they obviously do not want to modify too many lamps.
