- 3 - Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/MH.{M. Huckerby}30.1.40. Date of completion of Prototype. Major Thompson emphasised that a gun with a high rate of fire was going to be much more difficult than the single shot gun and Mr. Viale accepted this. It was agreed that a tentative target would have the prototype ready in 12 to 18 months' time. Inspection of other types of Gun. Major Thompson said they had various guns available which were at present in museums and which would be more useful if they were being examined by Rolls-Royce. He would arrange for some of these to be sent up to the Works. He also agreed to supply a barrel for the first 13.2 gun. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
