[Crossed out: EH.] FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} [Crossed out: Copy to EH.] Copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Circled handwritten note: 92/13 30] ORIGINAL. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M11.10.30. [Handwritten: X7260.] P. 2. LOUVRED BONNET. We send herewith N. scheme 3153. shewing a view of a bonnet side having horizontal louvres very similar to those seen on 14-EX., but having certain changes which were thought might be improvements. Each louvre is continuous across the bonnet. The actual size of the louvres is approximately the same as those used on 14-EX. We would be glad if you would fit up a bonnet with such louvres, and suggest that since the appearance can only be judged on a car which has a straight through line on the body, it would be as well to fit the experimental bonnet to such a car. It will be noticed that the top louvre is parallel to the side hinge of the bonnet, the bottom louvre is parallel with the top of the chassis frame, and the other louvres are intermediate.
