Dear H.E. Thank you for telling me about Mr Royce's desire to have a Sports Saloon in India. As we have already received intimations from various sources for the building of at least a doz. experimental bodies, we feel we had better do nothing until R & B's. have settled their little overtures on the subject. No doubt, when R.{Sir Henry Royce} returns he will be able to say what he wants. We have already wasted 3 or 4 mths{Reg Matthews} of valuable time trying to evolve special bodies, all of which are useless to Sales - so they say. We therefore want to strictly confine our attention to chassis work in future, unless we have a definite instruction from "R" to build a body for him or for yourselves, as B's. say the experimental chassis must be tested with the heavy - common body we usually fit, we do not wish to have anything to do with the production of these. We suggest that, when you have got on | ||
