For the attention of Mr.S.H.Grylls.
Dear Sirs,
We are in receipt of your letter of the 30th ulto. together with Blueprint GCD.327. We see no objection to the location of the balance units in the front corner of the rim well, and have therefore incorporated this on our new drawing CDS.1179, which supersedes CDS.1167 sent you previously. A copy of CDS.1179 is enclosed herewith.
As the method of attachment of the complete unit which now includes the base, is by bolts, we presume that we shall be called upon to provide only the three pairs of countersunk holes in the side of the rim well, to take the heads of the bolts, and we should be glad of your confirmation to this effect.
It will be seen that we have found it necessary to adjust the position of the drilling in the side of the well, in order to obtain clearance over the opposite bead of the rim, for a countersinking tool, and we shall be glad if you will please check over the dimensions shown on our drawing, letting us know if you are in agree - ment therewith.
Yours faithfully,
FOR THE DUNLOP RIM & WHEEL COMPANY,LTD.
