RE X. 762 - TRUFFAULT SHOCK ABSORBERS

In answer to yours L17/B2.10.17, the
Truffault shock absorbers were fitted to our experimental chassis 7 C.A. in December or January last, and we have quite good reports of the action of these, especially with certain modifications which we have made. They were on the Chassis when it was delivered to Mr. Royce in June last, at which time Mr. Hives made the following remarks:-

"Truffault shock absorbers on back. These shock absorbers are excellent. I have never appreciated how much difference shock absorbers could make until we connected these up. To get a comparison one must run with them disconnected".

It is now decided that shock absorbers similar to these , will be fitted to the After-the-War Chassis.
