Dear Mr. DeLooze,
Re the late Mr. F.{Mr Friese} V.{VIENNA} C. Halliwell.
I thank you for your letter of the 17th inst. with enclosures and for the information therein contained. I will deal with your observations in the order in which they appear in your letter.
1. I have advised the Sun Life Assurance Co. and the Provident Association of London Ltd. of Mr. Halliwell's death and have requested the latter to let me know the exact position with regard to the Insurance Policy.
2. I note that the list of Savings Certificates which you took back with you belonged to Mrs. Halliwell and that they will not therefore be included in the Inland Revenue Affidavit.
3 & 4. As I mentioned to you on the telephone I have ascertained from the Inspector of Taxes that so far as income tax is concerned Mr. Halliwell has already been dealt with as a "workman". The tax for the six months ending 5th October 1929 amounted to £5-3-6 and this was paid on the 13th June 1930. The tax for the six months ending 5th April 1930 amounts to £21-15-6. This amount is still outstanding and
1.
