Contd :- -2- (4) The bottom panel on 9-PK is very wide and high, and the glass being rather thin it is possible to distort the glass quite considerably by applying pressure to it in the middle. This panel should be split in the middle, and an additional upright fitted with brass channels to take the glass. If this additional upright were continued up to the roof, it would also serve the purpose of stiffening up the whole windscreen frame. We have fitted an inverted brass channel to the top of this bottom panel, fixing it at each end to the windscreen frame. This has stiffened the panel considerably and is giving satisfactory results so far. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
