STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.
Date 3.10.23.
Description of Parts. FRICTION DAMPERS TO ENGINE MOUNTING.
Origin: To reduce vibrations.
Experimental Test Report.
Tests have proved that by adding friction to the front end of the present engine mounting, we reduce the amount of vibration.
Road Test Report.
Tested experimentally on 3 cars. This device can cause no harm - the friction is not sufficient to hold the engine against frame distortions.

MR. ELLIOTT It is assumed that this sheet refers to temporary scheme LGC-1768. It is suggested (+ Mr. Royce says put the suggestion to Derby) that the friction discs of Ferodo pad etc of permanent scheme LEC-1774 could be embodied on the scheme for immediate standardisation, with known advantage.
