I certainly agree that a trial should be made of a finer field winding, say 20.SWG. that the span for the control brush should be increased slightly, which would compensate for this finer shunt winding, and would keep the curve from falling so much at high speeds. We think the fall in the output with speed is the cause of complaint against the output of the dynamo, the reason being that the Goshawk engine runs normally at so much increased speed, that we are much more often on the lower part of the curve.

You will notice that the competing dynamos are set to maintain their exciting current and their charging current.

I think therefore we ought to alter the specified performance so as to make it not fall below 7 amperes at 3000/revs. or about this amount.
