20 HP. HEADLAMPS.

With reference to the position of the lamps, the introduction of the higher radiator calls for a raised position of lamp, and this has been asked for by Sales.

We have had no definite figures as to the position required, but have considered it with reference to some photographs of the existing lamps which we have.

We have not gone as high as we should wish because we think that lamps carried off the existing wing stays will give us somewhat odd looking brackets if we go too far.

We have therefore struck a compromise in N.Sch.2633 which we send herewith, enabling the existing wing stays to be used, and giving us a higher and narrower position, which we think will be a definite improvement on the present one.

We shall be glad if BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will have a set put in hand as soon as possible for inspection by Sales, and also send Sales a print of this drg.

It will be noticed that the bracket is suitable for either RB.{R. Bowen}35 or RB.{R. Bowen}70 lamps.
