R.{Sir Henry Royce} Single Cylinder Unit. This gives a good idea of the efficient working of the valve.

As many as thirteen diagrams have been taken under boosted conditions before it has been necessary to strip the valve to clean the contacts, which demonstrate that it is quite a reliable piece of apparatus.

The valve is now ready for the main engine tests. Diagrams will be taken under full boost - 17 lbs/sq.in. - and speed - 3200 r.p.m. - conditions.
