With reference to the matter of dropping the exhaust system .5" throughout its whole length, this appears to be a question of simply lengthening the brackets at front and rear, and accordingly on "A" Scheme 656 we have merely shown the extended bracket at the rear, but we should like at the same time, a certain amount of advantage to be taken at the rear swan neck pipe, which we should like to be bent so that it would not come above the frame. This we have shown on the above scheme drawing, and we should be very much obliged if an experimental set of pipes made in this way might have this DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
