(6). The offside front door has dropped, and cannot be closed. The driver of the lorry, who brought the body to Derby, says that this door had to be held closed by means of string before it left the coachbuilders. The body was mounted on a horse. The gap between the door and the hanging pillar in this particular case is very much wider at the top than at the bottom. The other doors do not shut well, and the gaps surrounding them are irregular.

(7). The offside swivelling ventilator in the front door will not open when operated by the handle more than about one third the correct amount. There is a lot of slack in the operation.
The finish of the trimming around these recessed handles is not in keeping with that of the rest of the interior.
The adjustable rear squab is attached at the base by very cheap box lid{A. J. Lidsey} hinges, fastened to the squab, and hooked over protruding wood screws on the body. There is nothing to stop it jumping or working up. The catches at the top merely hold it from coming forward with the net result that it is easy to push the squab out of place.

(8). There are several broken screws in the top joint of the wind screen frame. The stems are in and the heads are missing, leaving the countersunk holes empty.

(9). No fixing has been provided for the carpet of the boot, and the carpet is not felt lined with a rubber covering as in the specification.
The boot floor drums, and has no fastening to the rearmost board along its forward edge; when lightly tapped it thumps and rattles.

These are observed criticisms, resulting from the preliminary mounting of the body.
