Graham-Paige Car.

Replying to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}4/E.31.5.35.

I have now arranged for a man to bring the car down to Conduit Street from Croydon, so that it is not necessary to collect it.

The car really requires a new timing chain, which we have not yet been able to obtain, but this can be fitted just as well by Eustace Watkins as by ourselves. I have not therefore kept the car back for this. If it is not wanted for trial immediately, Whyman, who comes down with the car, can take it over to Eustace Watkins' and arrange for the chain to be changed, which will take about a day. It might possibly do another 5,000 to 10,000 miles without trouble, but we do not want it to let anybody down.

With regard to selling the Graham, we do not want to part with it until we have a better example of a supercharged car available. None, so far as I know, is in existence at present.

We want to dispose of the Terraplane, however, and should like to obtain in its place one of the latest 120 Packards.
