PHANTOM III - OWNERS COMPLAINTS DURING
THE MONTH OF MARCH.

Engine.                  No.off.

(1) Intermittent knock, due to tappets being tight in guides.        1.
(2) Intermittent knock and failure to start, due to hydraulic plungers sticking.        4.
(3) Over-oiling due to excessive oil from rocker shaft being drawn down valve guides.        4.
(4) Oil leaks from rocker cover joint.            7.
(5) Intermittent failure of ignition etc. due to fault in ammeter.            1.
(6) Faulty distributor - seizure of tower and control pins too tight, preventing use of hand control.            2.
(7) Camshaft cams scored, new camshaft fitted.        1.
(8) Over-heating of engine, old type radiator, matrix silted up.            3.
(9) Burst oil cooler - 'Y' type cooler fitted.            4.
(10) Ignition plug terminals defective, causing shorting, and falling off.            1.
