Rolls-Royce Limited, DERBY. Dear Mr. Robotham, I promised to write to you and let you have our recommendations regarding tyres to be used on Hall's Bentley in the Ulster T.T. as soon as possible. However, upon my return to Inchinnan I unfortunately missed Dr. Young who has gone on holiday and I feel that it would be better to delay the matter until I can get in touch with Dr. Young as there are one or two figures which I would like to confirm with him. As a matter of fact Hall came on the 'phone Saturday morning and told me he had been at Derby shortly after I left and that he had discussed the matter with you so that there is probably not so much urgency. I will, therefore, write you further in the course of a few days. I have been in touch with Bramber Engineering Company and they have promised to ship 5 wheels with the 4.00/17 rims and the new offset direct to you at Derby so that they will arrive before the 16th. We are making the tyres and will send 5 tyres and tubes to you before the 16th to be fitted on the wheels so that they can go with the Bentley to France. We will send other 5 tyres and tubes to Mr. Hancock at ChateaurouxFrench test region.
