Replying to your various questions -

(1) As soon as the new Michelin tyres arrive we will try them on the road and Skid pan and report in due course.

(2) The object of the foot on the crankcase is to take the weight of the engine when the gearbox is removed. It is drilled so that by the aid of a bolt and nuts the engine can be left "lined up" when there is no gearbox. Agreed it looks untidy but it has its uses.

(3) I don't know why the gear lever is so long on Wraith, but will find out for you what it means to have a shorter one. In Derby we hadn't noticed it.

(4) The 6½ x 17 tyres on the 'M' series Bentley should be inflated cold to 25 front and 28 rear (lbs. per sq.in.) Their running temperatures become about 28 and 32 respectively.

(5) When are you bringing the Paulin Bentley to England ?
