TO DX. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to GJ. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL E4/M22.12.22. X9090 X9160 "SEAGULL" ENGINE CAMSHAFT & BEARINGS & OIL PUMP DRIVE. We send you herewith drawing No. Lec 1660 shewing the above. It is intended that the worm wheel of the oil pump drive should be detached before withdrawing the camshaft, by knocking down the oil pump drive shaft. The shaft is permitted to move down .6" and it should then allow the worm wheel to be removed. The camshaft bearings are stepped so that the complete assembly can be easily withdrawn endways. This drawing also shews the rear end of the camshaft together with bearing. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} RECEIVED STAMP: H8 DEC 27 | ||
