X 340 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.5/MA. 12th August, 1936. The Leyland Rubber, Co.Ltd., Leyland, LANCASHIRE. Dear Sirs, We have recently ordered from you a number of rubber water connections, to our order No.20713, and we asked our Order Office to instruct these in Leyland Petrol resisting hose. Our reason for ordering water connections in this hose was that we have had trouble with decomposition of our water connections as per attached sample, and our aero test beds use your petrol resisting hose (sample attached) with water or glycol without experiencing any similar trouble. We should like you to confirm that the hose you have sent us is "P.R." Hose and let us know whether in your opinion, it is the most suitable for our purpose. The maximum temperature to which it is likely to be subjected is 105ºC. An early reply would be appreciated. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
