BENSPORT FRONT SPRINGS.

This is to confirm our conversation of yesterday when it was agreed to work in future to a bump of 1.750" from full load to maximum bump, in the place of the 2.000" originally called for.

On further investigation we find this still not entirely adequate to enable a reasonable clearance between the axles, supercharger, and undersheet, and we wish you to move back the engine .375" which is approx: 1.25" more than the amount you have lengthened the supercharger. The steering box centre is to remain 12" from the back of the dash.

As pointed out to you yesterday the small dia. extension of the supercharger protrudes entirely beyond the radiator shutters, and we are utilising the moving back of the engine, plus a moving forward of the radiator about .375", to keep the dia. of casing in which are the serrations for engaging the starting handle just behind the shutters.

We send herewith a small layout (N. sch. 3543.)
