STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS. COMPLETED Date: 24.11.20 Description of Parts: X 3Y91a Steering pivot pins made with a slow taper for fitting to axle. Origin: In order that pins can be removed without damaging them. Experimental Test Report: Set run on bump test for 85 hours, no trouble. On repair cars the present pivot pins are sometimes found slack, this should prevent this happening. Road Test Report: Run 12,000 miles on 2EX. Run 3,000 miles on 3EX. No trouble. Top Right Box: Date: 8.11.20. X No. 3Y91a. Drawing No. N.1067. Part List. A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works.
