Steering pivot pins made with a slow taper for fitting to axle.
Origin: In order that pins can be removed without damaging them.
Experimental Test Report:
Set run on bump test for 85 hours, no trouble. On repair cars the present pivot pins are sometimes found slack, this should prevent this happening.
Road Test Report:
Run 12,000 miles on 2EX.
Run 3,000 miles on 3EX.
No trouble.
