C6/C4.12.33. Re 16-MY...DR.JOLL. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}18/KT1.12.33 I note from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}15/KT1.12.33 that the fitting of a new head complete with valve gear had the effect of curing this trouble and I hope that Dr.Joll will now be quite satisfied and will not have any further trouble. Meantime, however, the important matter, of course, is to investigate the reason for the trouble, as we have had it on other cars. You will remember we recently changed the engine of Mr.Sam Harris's car, but I understand you were not able to investigate and get at the bottom of the trouble with this particular case. Perhaps you will be able to use the parts removed from Dr.Joll's car for this purpose. Incidentally, you will have noted from H2/H27.11.33 that we have had a telephone message from Mr.Harris saying that all the old noise and unpleasantness is returning on the new engine. C. | ||
