RL/M29.9.22. X.3485 - GOSHAWK IGNITION & LIGHTING SWITCH X.4081. I am extremely pleased with this, and regret we have to modify it - there are however a few points we should like to bring to your attention as requiring slight improvements:- (1) The spring blade of the press button switch for gauge light should be set out so that there is no danger of an earth connection being made through it touching the upper end of the roller levers when depressed as was the case with the sample sent here, thus :- [Diagram 1] SWITCH OPEN [Diagram 2] IT EARTHS HERE SWITCH CLOSED. BAD CONTACT. (2) The four long hexagon nuts retaining bakelite piece to aluminium front casting are not shewn on our drawing. If it is absolutely necessary to use these, they should be as "A", and not as "B"- "A" being simpler :- [Diagram A] A. {Mr Adams} [Diagram B] B. Con | ||
