1114. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/Dn 27th July 1940. A.{Mr Adams} J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Booth, Esq., Messrs HUMBER Ltd, C o v e n t r y. ---------------- Dear Mr Booth, Further to our conversation today regarding Oil Coolers. This is to confirm that we had a considerable amount of trouble with the ordinary soldered type tube block a photograph of which we attach. The Americans also had trouble with this type of construction, and abandoned it in favour of the hydrogen pressed biscuit type. I enclose catalogue of the Harrison Radiator Corporation, which shows the process in which these tubes are fabricated. I find, however, that I sent all my samples to Wilmot Breedon, and if you contact him, he should be able to produce them for your inspection. Yours faithfully, N.B. Please return Catalogue.
