x4707 1.10.34. Graham. Speedometer miles 412. (actual mileage about 390). Petrol used - 35 galls. Consumption 11.1 m.p.g. Av. speed - 40 approx. Other Points. (1) Petrol pump clicks continuously and engine starves at high revs. Will not attain max. revs. in one getaway on 2nd gear. Max. speed in top 85 speedo. due to petrol shortage. (2) Suction operated windscreen wipers on supercharged car are N.B.G. (3) Detonates badly on Shell No. 1, particularly at 60 - 70 m.p.h. No detonations on Discol but misfires picking up. (4) Both throttle and brakes very heavy, the latter produce front axle judder if applied suddenly and are very inefficient when hot. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
