X 1086 With reference to the Lucas Self- Starter drawing which I received this morning (23.2.14) I am sorry to say that this is no use for our purpose. It would not be capable of turning the engine without a tremendous load of current. Consequently I do not consider from the drawing that it is a really good job - it looks crude, i.e. not good auto-mobile design. It would not fit in our present car. Someone has fitted into our car one made by the Westinghouse Co., of America, this seems a possible job though not entirely desireable, I shall be pleased to hear what the results are and more of this starter.
