For the attention of Mr. Chandler, Experimental Design Department.

Dear Sirs,

We write to confirm the visit of our Representative, Mr. L. W. Webb, in conversation with your Mr. Whitfield concerning our offer of service in the manufacture and supply of flywheel ring gears in the finished form or in rough and machined blanks.

Whilst we understand you are not at the moment using a loose ring gear but have the teeth integral with the flywheel, we venture to suggest that the former idea is now the popular practice and that it receive your consideration. In fact, if you would care to submit a drawing of a popular type of flywheel we would submit our recommendation in this regard and even go so far as to supply and fit a loose gear for test purposes.

At this writing, may we refer to the service we could render your Repairs Department by their arranging to send along to us worn flywheels in batches for the purpose of turning off the existing teeth and fitting a loose gear - a practice which is common to other car factories - to eliminate the scrapping of flywheel units.

We suggest these be sent in batches from a point of view of economy in transport charges and to enable us to give you a flat price to include machining.
