Dear Sirs,

Re: Drop Head Coupe B.V. Chassis - 12.B.5.

We confirm that we left with you a print of PD.331 shewing the design of a Drop Head Coupe for the Bentley V.{VIENNA} chassis 12.B.5.

We would be glad if you would go ahead with the full size drawing of this body, with a view to producing it. We agree in principle that the construction should be of wood and aluminium. Nevertheless, from our experience with this type of coachwork, we think the utmost should be done to ensure the maximum of rigidity, and therefore we think that a sheet metal bottom side of ample dimensions would be an advantage. To facilitate this, we have shewn the doors not of the "cut through" type.

We would like to receive your proposals for a specialised construction to try out on this body an experiment in order to do something to improve the general steadiness of this type of vehicle.

We confirm that we wish to use French silent travel locks, with top and bottom fixings, which can be obtained from our Mr.Punt of F.B.A.Ltd.,

The complete specification of this body will follow in a short while.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS.
